Islamic Lecture Video: Advice For Muslim Men

In this Islamic lecture video I try to lay out some of the responsibilities Muslim men have. Not only to their families, but also to Allah and to themselves.

A man is the leader of his family. He is more than a sperm donor with a job. If he can get his act together, then his family will follow suit, Inshallah.

But if he disobeys Allah and violates His commandments, how can he expect anything else from his wife and children?

Please enjoy this Islamic lecture and leave comments on the bottom.

  1. Assalamu alaikum.Your articles are always very educative.May Allah reward you in multiples amin.Women are now used by westerns to creat unrest in muslims societies.”Child laws for eg”which are contrary to islamic laws promulgated by westers can be understood and be discarded if articles of this like are read by our children and mothers. Thank you so much.

    • Wa Alaikum Salaam Lawal,

Thank you for your comments, and may Allah reward you as well.

You are absolutely correct that Western customs have tarnished the role of all members of the family from the father down to the children. The kids are made masters and the parents are slaves. The wife is made superior and the husband is made weak. That is why there is such a breakdown in Western society today. Even Christian Americans know there is a problem as they continuously call for a return to “family values.”

Unfortunately, with society the way it is, I believe it is nearly impossible to ever return to traditional “family values” in this country.

      And Allah knows best.

      • Assalamu alaikum!

I absolutely agree – society as we know it here is simply not going to preserve family values, because the individual is prized above all. You, you, you, and if anyone does anything to get in your way, then they must be abolished! I hate how children are allowed to be despicably rude and disrespectful – and I would argue that much of this arises out of the fact that families are simply not as close…I could go on forever!

However we should also remember that many, many laws regarding children in the West are extremely beneficial in many ways, and have served to really protect children from abuse (another common societal ill in a land where drugs and women abuse is common!). I would love to see anti- beating laws implemented in Muslim countries – the ways that some children are abused is absolutely despicable, and extremely unIslamic.
