Letters To ILM
I know…it’s been a long time since the last recording of the ILM Show. Don’t curse me out or beat me up. I’m back on it.
Perhaps you know this already, but I get a lot of emails here. And I try my best to answer each and every one, though sometimes it can take me a long time to get around to it. But truthfully, some of these emails are painful.
There are a lot of Muslims out there going through some really serious difficulties. Things I can’t imagine going through. I’m very humbled that anyone thinks of me to confide their deepest secrets with me. And I’m often saddened, and sometimes even brought to tears by some of the stories I read.
But I know that for each email I get, there are probably hundreds, maybe even thousands of other Muslims experiencing something similar. I think it would be much more efficient and effective if I shared some of the advice I give out with others.
So…I decided to record some of these emails and record my advice as well. Now don’t worry; I changed the name and do not mention the exact location of the individual. And I don’t read the entire email word for word anyway.
So in this episode, we have two sisters in two different parts of the world. One in America and one in Europe.
Khadijah is a young Muslim sister in Europe who is in love with a young man she’s been seeing for the past five years. However, the young man isn’t ready to get married and might be ready to move on to another relationship.
Keisha is in America and has recently accepted Islam. In her situation, she’s dealing with bouts of depression which are being aggravated by her Christian family’s hostility to her new faith.
Please listen to the show and share your thoughts. Hopefully, other Muslims will benefit from these trials.
Keep in mind…these are real people with real situations.
May Allah help us all. Ameen.
